Construction Project Manager

The Project Superintendent will supervise, coordinate, schedule, and oversee employees, equipment, and subcontractors on general construction projects. The Project Superintendent will proactively anticipate staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for efficient project execution while upholding stringent safety standards. The role encompasses the coordination of diverse aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, adhering to timelines, and maintaining a focus on safety.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Know, implement, and enforce company safety policies and practices.
Know, implement, and enforce company policies.
“Own” assigned projects.
Develop and implement a plan to meet project requirements.
Develop and communicate daily plans.
Manage all on-site activities.
Lead and manage direct reports.
Collaborate with supervisors of supporting crews.
Interact effectively with project management staff.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with owner staff.
Engage with management and secure the necessary people, equipment, tools, and support for the project.
Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders—company management, project owner staff, suppliers, subcontractors, fellow employees, the public, etc.
Ensure project quality meets requirements.
Pursue meeting the project budget.
Keep and maintain all necessary project records.

Required Experience

Proficiency in interpreting and comprehending construction blueprints and documents.
Effective communication with subcontractors, staff, and superiors.
Knowledge of the construction industry.
Proficiency with basic computer applications.
Communication – effective both verbally and written, across all organization levels.
Multi-task – able to manage multiple projects at one time and quickly transition between projects and priorities as required.
Organization – strong organizational skills.
Work Style – able to work collaboratively across operations and function disciplines as well as independently.

Preferred Experience

At least 18 years of age A valid driver’s license. A clean driving record. Preferably a degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
